About

Celestial is a trading card game dedicated to anime characters. It was thought of one boring day in 2006. Carla did not want to update the games of Liberi Fatali and proceded to create a card template and about 5 decks. These decks were then archived and not found again until August '07. Carla saw them and decided to make a TCG based upon them. Celestial was decided as the name when the idea of the TCG having a zodiac undertone. It has since stayed, even though it is not a proper, latin-named TCG.

The idea of the TCG is to focus on anime characters; not anime, scenes, or artwork. The characters alone. That, in itself, seemed to be a rather unique idea and helped Carla's hatred of puzzle cards. (You know, they just look weird with the regular cards. Admit it already.) So, hopefully, no broad or puzzle decks. The cards in each deck look distinctly like they come from a certain deck.

Another idea behind the TCG is to not focus on the same TCGs. There's plenty of Bleach, Sailor Moon, and Fruits Basket TCGs. Where's the Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing, and Tenshi Muyo? I know, they might sound childish compared to the other avaliable anime, but they are amazing nonetheless. What anime isn't?

Here's another annoyance of Carla's: general TCGs. TCGs that have every subject under the sun or a wide range of topics. An example is an anime, manga, and video game TCG. Each of these subjects are immense in their own fashion; why are people using three? Here at Celestial, the game is anime. Only anime.

So, yes, it's one of many, many anime TCGs. But maybe it's a little different, too.
